Sweet Obsession Prose Part 2
Thaun was buttoning up his dress shirt in his bedroom when he heard a text message notification from his phone. He quickly finished the last button and rushed over to his desk to check. A new text from Kirb had arrived.
“Movie is at 5 right?” the text said.
Thaun quickly texted back, “Yes sir.”
“Cool! Can’t wait!” Kirb responded with a smiley emoji.
“Same,” Thaun replied, adding a wink emoji.
Thaun was relieved, he was worried Kirb was texting to cancel, that he had sobered up and was having second thoughts.
He was about to get back to getting dressed when another text came through, this one from his friend and coworker, Arvy.
“Hey hey, how’d that party go last night??” the text read, followed by a gif of a dog in a party hat. “Soz I couldn’t make it.”
“Actually really well!” Thaun typed back.
“Oh rly? Was it that fun?”
“Not really, the party itself was whatever.”
“? Then what do u mean?” There was a short pause before Arvy followed up with “Wait, are you saying you met someone? You met someone didn’t you!”
“Maaybe…” Thaun added a sly face emoji.
“Lucky! I totes should have gone!” Arvy typed. “Good on you, I didn’t think there’d be any other demons there.”
Thaun bit his lip slightly. “Oh he is not going to like this…” he mumbled.
“Well…there wasn’t.” He wrote back.
“THAUN.” He could practically hear Arvy yelling through his text. “Do not tell me you picked up another human!”
“You make it sound like I do this often! It’s been a while ok? And don’t be so quick to judge, so what if he’s human.”
“I give them a week, tops.”
“Oh shut up. He knows what he’s getting into. And it’s none of your business. Now excuse me, I have a date to prepare for.”
“One week!”
Thaun ignored the last message and placed his phone back down on his desk and went back to getting dressed.
Meanwhile across town, Kirb was also in the process of getting ready. He was going through his drawers trying to find something suitable.
“Man, I haven’t been on a proper date in a long time.” He said to himself. “I don’t want to look lame, do I have anything that isn’t lame?”
He didn’t own that many shirts, and they were mostly just plain blue tees of various shades. He grabbed one that seemed to have the least amount of wrinkles in the fabric and a clean pair of pants and laid the outfit out on the bed.
“It’s…boring, but it’ll do.” He said, and began to pull the pants on.
They slipped on fine enough, but when he got to buttoning them he felt some…resistance.
The pants buttoned, but they felt a little tighter than usual, he placed his hand on his stomach and felt a slight outward curve.
“I guess I’m still a little bloated from last night…” He said in a worried tone as he rubbed the slight muffin top. “I hope it’s not too noticeable.”
He thought that maybe wearing something thicker would help cover it better, so he grabbed a sweatshirt from his closet and put it on instead of the shirt he took out. He checked himself over in the mirror. The sweater seemed to work fine enough, so he decided to go with it. He combed his hair with his fingers a bit but it made little difference, his hair basically did what it wanted.
“Well, this is probably as good as it’s going to get,” Kirb sighed. He wasn’t the most confident in his appearance. He thought of himself as “extremely average.” He placed his hand near his left eye, where he had a faint scar. It wasn’t very noticeable but he still worried it was offputting. He shook his head and gave his face a light slap. “Enough of that,” he scolded himself and headed towards the front door.
Thaun was already standing outside the local movie theater when Kirb arrived. It was Kirb’s first time seeing him while sober, and he was somehow even more handsome in the daylight.
“Are all demons this gorgeous?” He thought to himself. He still couldn’t believe this was his date.
Thaun noticed him and gave a slight wave.
“Hey!” Kirb called out as he approached. “Sorry I am a bit late, Uber ran into some traffic.”
“No worries,” Thaun responded with a smile. “I’m sure they’re still showing commercials.”
“You’re probably right. Shall we head in?”
“After you,” Thaun said as he held the door open, gesturing for Kirb to enter.
“Thankya,” Kirb blushed slightly and walked on in.
Kirb looked over at the concessions counter as they entered. HIs stomach gave a low growl.
“Mind if I grab some snacks?” He asked.
“Go ahead,” Thaun responded. “I’ll purchase our tickets.”
“Oh you don’t have to-” Kirb started to object.
“Don’t worry about it! I asked you out, I’ll at least cover the movie.” Thaun insisted, Kirb gave in and let him go.
Thaun purchased two tickets for Final Extermination and waited by the theater entrance near the ticket taker. A few moments later Kirb came walking over with an armful of popcorn, soda, a couple boxes of candy and a hotdog.
“Did you buy out the concession stand?” Thaun joked as they entered the theater hallway.
“I missed lunch,” Kirb said sheepishly, feeling a little embarrassed over the amount he bought. But he really did skip lunch, so it’s fine, at least that’s what he told himself.
They found their theater and Kirb awkwardly pushed the door open with his side as his hands were otherwise occupied.
“After you,” Kirb said, holding the door open with his body. Thaun giggled a bit and thanked him as they walked in. It was fairly empty with just a few sparse seats taken. They found some seats near the middle of the stadium and sat down. Kirb spread out his snacks on his lap and made use of the cupholders for his soda and candy boxes.
He gestured the popcorn bucket to Thaun, “Want any?” he asked.
“No thanks, I’m good.”
“Oh…right, do demons…eat popcorn?” Kirb asked cautiously.
Thaun let out a little laugh. “Yes, we eat popcorn. And human souls.”
Kirb looked more than a little startled. “Oh…uh…” he stumbled on his words.
Thaun facepalmed in disbelief, “Oh for-I’m kidding, Kirb.”
“Right, of course!” Kirb blushed in embarrassment.
“You’re so adorable.” Thaun teased. Kirb blushed harder and sipped his soda.
Two hours soon passed and the credits rolled, the boys headed back out towards the exit.
“Well that was…something. I think I prefer the original. What did you think?” Thaun asked as Kirb disposed of his empty food containers in the nearby garbage can.
“It’s a bit hard to say,” Kirb responded. “But I did like the part where we made out for half the movie.”
“My what a coincidence, that was my favorite part as well!”
The two giggled to themselves like the couple of dorks they were as they exited the building. Evening was fast approaching as the sun set in the distance.
“So, were you still interested in dinner or did you fill up on snacks?” Thaun asked.
“Actually, I’m still like, crazy hungry.” Kirb admitted. He was sure those snacks would normally have filled him up, but it was basically his lunch. So of course he would need dinner as well, right?
“That’s great!” Thaun exclaimed, and put his arm around Kirb. “I like hungry boys, I know just the place.”
Thaun drove the two of them a short distance, and parked outside a restaurant called Downtown Buffet. Kirb had rarely eaten out since moving to the city, so this place was new to him. Seeing the word “buffet” got him excited, he couldn’t remember the last time he’d gone to one.
Inside were rows of various food lined up, the place was much bigger than any buffet restaurant Kirb had been to before.
“Welcome!” The staff behind the counter greeted them cheerfully. “How many tonight?”
“Two for the buffet please,” Thaun told them as he handed his card over.
“Wait, you got the movie I should-” Kirb started to protest.
“It’s fiiine,” Thaun insisted. “You can get it next time.”
Kirb blushed, “next time” implied a second date. He was quite smitten with Thaun and was relieved to get confirmation that things were going well. He really wanted this to go well.
They headed over to the rows of food and Thaun grabbed two of the large empty plates and passed one over to Kirb.
“A friend of mine recommended this place, swears by the food.” Thaun said as he started browsing the options before him. “They have a nice variety, so it seemed like it’d make deciding what to get easier. It’s all you can eat too so don’t hold back, get as much as you want.” Thaun looked over at Kirb who already had a generous amount of food on his plate “Though I guess I don’t need to tell you that,” he added with a chuckle.
“I got to get your money’s worth, don’t I?” Kirb said, trying to balance some fried chicken on top of the pizza and mashed potatoes.
“That’s the right attitude to have!” Thaun laughed. Kirb tried to see if he could balance any more on his plate. Thaun took a few very modest servings of meat and mixed vegetables and started heading over to a nearby empty booth.
Kirb turned to follow suit and accidentally bumped his elbow into a nearby customer who had been coming up behind him.
“Oh, so sorry!” Kirb gasped as he turned around, where his eyes met the chest of someone in a shirt and trench coat. He looked up. He had to in order to see the face of the seven foot tall giant towering over him.
The man before him had smooth beautifully tanned skin, luscious long white hair and three glowing gold eyes. His matching halo hovered a few inches above his head.
Kirb knew instantly what this was. It was an angel.
“Oh not at all,” the angel said. “No worries.”
Kirb stood there a little dumfounded for a moment as the angelic man casually turned around and walked off.
Thaun sat down and looked over at Kirb, who seemed to be starting off at nothing.
“You okay? Thaun asked.
“Oh yeah,” Kirb hurried over to the booth and sat himself and his massive plate of food across from Thaun. “Sorry, just lost in thought.”
“Anything bothering you?”
“Oh no,” Kirb said as he took a bite of some macaroni. “Was just wondering…”
“Go on,” Thaun encouraged, cutting into the small steak on his plate.
“Am I…the first human you’ve dated?”
Thaun looked amused by the question. “Actually no,” he stated. “In fact I’ve dated more humans than other demons.”
“Wow, really?” Kirb sounded surprised.
“Yeah but,” Thaun took a bite from his fork, “none of them ever lasted very long.” He quickly swallowed and then continued. “The relationship I mean, not the human. I want to make it clear I do not eat humans or their souls.
“Thanks for the clairfiction,” Kirb smirked as he scooped some mashed potato on his spoon. “Have you ever dated an angel?”
“Nope, boy you’re very interested in my dating history aren’t you?” Thaun grinned.
“Shorry,” Kirb responded with his mouth full before swallowing. “I don’t mean to pry…”
“Oh no it’s fine I don’t mind,” Thaun assured him. “Feel free to ask whatever is on your mind.”
“Well then, is a demon dating an angel weird? Does that happen? I mean, not to call it weird, I’m just curious.” Kirb chomped down on a slice of pizza. Despite talking he was making speedy progress on his pile of food.
“Not really, a couple friends of mine are a demon and an angel couple, they’ve been together a few years now and are perfectly happy.”
“Thas sho coot!” Kirb exclaimed with a mouthful of pizza.
“Slow down sweetie, you’re going to choke.” Thaun laughed.
“Ah, sorry.” Kirb responded.
“Don’t be,” Thaun leaned over the table and wiped off some sauce from Kirb’s face with a napkin. “You’re adorable when you eat.”
Kirb’s face turned beet red and couldn’t help but smile. That was the second time Thaun called him adorable today, nobody had ever called him that before, let alone twice.
Kirb quickly finished up the last of the food on his plate, ignoring the slightly snugger fit of his pants he excused himself to grab a second serving.
Thaun and Kirb made light conversation about the parts of the movie they did remember, the original film it was based on and shared movie opinions in general. Kirb’s main priority however seemed to be devouring everything he could. He shoved forkfulls of food into his mouth one after the other as if he’d not eaten in days.
He’d gotten up for a third platefull, his pants were tight and the bulge of his swollen stomach was becoming more obvious. But his mind was too focused on eating, he wanted to eat, he needed to eat.
After a couple more plates he was having significant trouble moving in and out of the booth. Stretching both the pants and the sweater, his belly was swelling to quite the noticeable size. The button on his pants was barely holding on. He let out a large grunt as he squeezed his way back into his seat.
Kirb finished off his fifth plate, he was breathing quite heavily now. He subconsciously rubbed the sides of his stuffed gut under the table.
Thaun stood up for the first time since they initially sat down. He had long since finished his meager single meal. He walked up to Kirb’s side and picked up Kirb’s stack of empty plates.
“Here, let me load up another plate for you,” he offered. “Anything you don’t like or any allergies I should know of?”
“Oh, uh no I am pretty good with everything. But you don’t have to-”
“Don’t worry, I don’t mind. You just rest a bit, alright?” Thaun said and walked off too swiftly for Kirb to get another word in.
Kirb leaned back in his seat. He didn’t mind the break, he was feeling a bit tired. And heavy.
“What am I doing?” he thought to himself. “I haven’t stopped eating since our date started. “I’m getting so full. I was full like two plates ago. Why am I still eating?” He patted the top of his bloated stomach. “My pants are going to burst if I don’t lay off. I should turn down-”
“Here you go!”
Kirb’s thoughts were interrupted by Thaun’s sudden return. He placed down an absolutely stacked plate of pastries of various kinds on the table directly in front of Kirb.
“I thought maybe you’d be in the mood for some dessert.” Thaun stated as he returned to his seat.
Kirb stared nervously down at the pile of sweet breads and cakes. He knew he needed to resist this sugary offer, to turn them away. He usually tried to avoid sweets all together, normally he had self restraint. Not because he hated them, he loved them. A lot. So much that once he starts eating them it can be very hard for him to stop.
The desserts Thaun selected for him looked beautiful and delicious. So very, very delicious.
Next thing Kirb knew he was several bites into two different pastries, one in each hand. He was in bliss. He hadn’t indulged himself like this in so long. He completely forgot how full he was and how tight his clothes were. He forgot about the fate of the poor straining button on his pants.
In complete silence Thaun simply watched as Kirb worked his way through the mass pile of sugar he brought him.
His stomach gradually lurched forward, his pants tighter and tighter until…
POP!
The button went flying off at intense speed, right into Thaun’s leg.
“Ow!” Thaun exclaimed.
He bent down and looked under the table.
“What just hit my l-” He started to ask, then noticed the button next to his foot. He grabbed it and held it up. “A…button?”
He looked over at Kirb who appeared mortified.
“Is…this your button?” Thaun asked.
Kirb turned red and looked down, he gave a weak nod.
Thaun briefly covered his mouth to hide a large smirk.
“Maybe it’s time we head out,” he said and stood up.
Kirb placed his palms on the table and tried to push himself upward but his large gut kept getting caught on the table.
“Everything ok?” Thaun asked, seeing Kirb squirming in his seat.
“It’s fine!” Kirb insisted. “I’m just…having some trouble…getting up.”
“Are you stuck?”
“I’m not stuck!” Kirb almost yelled. He slowly and awkwardly shifted sideways until he reached the edge of the seat.
“Oh you stubborn boy, let me help you.” Thaun pulled Kirb and his belly out from under the table and onto his feet.
“Ooof..” Kirb grunted, and quickly pulled his sweater down over his bulging torso, a sliver of belly still openly exposed. He cradled it with his hands, and slowly began to carry himself towards the exit with Thaun.
“You doing okay?” Thaun asked in a sympathetic tone, gently rubbing Kirb’s back a bit.
“Yeah…totally..fine..” Kirb huffed as he shuffled out the door.
Outside the buffet Thaun checked his phone. “It’s not actually that late,” he said. “We could go somewhere else. Although…”
Kirb was not really listening. He stared down at his stuffed belly still being cradled in his arms.
“I’ll call myself an Uber.” He said in a dejected tone.
“What, really? You’re going home?” Thaun sounded disappointed.
“I think I embarrassed myself enough for one day…” Kirb grumbled.
Thaun leaned into Kirb a bit. “That’s too bad,” he said. “I was kind of hoping you’d come back to my place….”
Kirb looked up, face flushed, and eyes wide in surprise.
“Wait, really?”
Thaun nodded.
“But…I just completely made a fool of myself, do you really want to be around me after that?” Kirb was fighting back tears.
Thaun smiled and kissed Kirb on the forehead.
“Of course I do, you silly.”
A wide grin broke out on Kirb’s blushing face. All the anxiety he was feeling just melted away.
“Now come on,” Thaun held up the button from earlier. “I have a sewing kit at home, let’s see if we can save those pants.”
Thaun helped Kirb get into the passenger car seat. Putting on the seatbelt was slightly difficult due to the swollen gut but he eventually managed.
After a short drive they arrived at Thaun’s house. Kirb was impressed he owned such a big place in the city. He couldn’t even imagine what that would have cost.
“Oh wow, your place is nice!” Kirb exclaimed as they walked in through the front door. The interior was spacious with high quality looking furnishings and everything was in immaculate condition.
“Thanks, it’s a little big for one person though,” Thaun said as he removed his coat and hung it on a nearby rack. “It can be a bitch to keep clean.”
“Well it looks great.” Kirb assured him.
“Go ahead and make yourself comfortable”
Kirb removed his shoes and wandered into the living room and laid himself down on the large couch.
“Oh, it feels good to lay down…”
Thaun leaned on the back rest of the sofa. “Ready to take off your pants?” he asked.
Kirb laughed a little. “That’s mighty forward of you,” he responded.
“Do you want your button back or not?”
Kirb looked down at his belly, even if he got the button back on he doubted his pants would fit much better at the moment.
“I don’t know if it’ll make much difference but might as well.” He squirmed a bit trying to slide the pants off but it was more awkward than he expected.
“Here let me help you,” Thaun walked around to the front of the couch and with a couple tugs managed to peel off Kirb’s pants, revealing his light blue boxers beneath.
“Ah, that is better…” Kirb sighed in relief.
“Would you like to lie down in the bedroom? A bit more space there.”
Kirb blushed, he was getting an invite to the bedroom. He wanted to respond appropriately but the best he could manage was a nod.
Thaun helped Kirb stand up and slowly escorted him though a nearby door. Kirb carefully laid himself down on top of the comforter of the bed.
“There, that’s got to be more comfortable.” Thaun said.
“Yeah…though…I don’t know if I’m up for a lot…” Kirb admitted. He was still so stuffed just moving from the couch to the bed left him exhausted.
Thaun removed his glasses and snuggled up next to him.
“That’s perfectly fine, just relax.” Thaun assured him, and placed his hand on Kirb’s slightly exposed tummy and began gently rubbing it.
Kirb let out an involuntary moan.
“Oh, is that no good?” Thaun asked, looking concerned.
“N-no…he responded weakly. “It feels…nice.”
Thaun continued to rub Kirb’s stuffed belly, moving his hand all around its round surface and applying various levels of pressure. Kirb reacted positively to all of it, squirming slightly in place.
It had been years since Kirb had stuffed himself let alone to such a degree. He’d never been touched like this before, had his belly comforted like this.
It was near blissful.
Thaun leaned in and started kissing on Kirb’s neck and face. Kirb responded in kind and the two got more entangled. After kissing and groping for a while they eventually settled into simply snuggling and Kirb ended up drifting asleep in Thaun’s arms.
